Oakland Children's Ministry

The Children’s Ministry at Oakland Avenue Baptist Church ranges in age from 3 years old to 5 Grade. Our desire is to teach our children basic Biblical foundations through age appropriate curriculum, as well as show them the love of Jesus Christ through our teachers and staff.

 

Two of the three main ministries designed for students of this age is Sunday School, which meets at 9:45 am. followed by Children’s Church at 10:45.  The third ministry is Discovery Clubs, which meets Wednesday at 6:30 pm.  This time is for getting deeper in God’s word by learning specific Biblical lessons that are designed for each age group, as well as encouraging each student to begin scripture memorization.

 

During the summer the children enjoy trips to Summer Camp and Vacation Bible School. This is a wonderful time of learning about our Savior and enjoying snacks, crafts, and games.
